I have experience primarily in Ruby on Rails and Java, and an interest in creating in Elixir. I am fascinated by concurrency, streams, and algorithms, and passionate about robust, fault tolerant design.
Software Development is exciting - it is a chance to explore and build, to innovate and create. One can never know everything there is to know, the problems and puzzles to solve are always present, and impact potential is huge. The work is a work of continual growth and change - never stop learning.
Life is best viewed as an adventure. Discomfort and failure become a challenge and a chance to learn. Anxiety and worry about the unknown become an awe and delight in mystery. When it's ok for things to not make sense, for you to learn and be amazed, we go further, win bigger, and experience the world differently - and it’s a lot more fun.
Daring to try something new, scary, and that you may fail is the starting place for all great accomplishments. Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone is the only way to grow. The paradox is that by intentionally seeking to do uncomfortable things, we become MORE comfortable and happy in most situations. Awesome!
